Dear Colleagues

I hope that you are all safe and well. In order to facilitate practitioners, I wish to remind you of the current options available to practitioners in respect of County Registrar court business.

Motions and Case Progressions
Please note that in line with the direction of the President of the Circuit Court, if the parties to a motion/case progression have agreed terms in respect of same, then it is in order for the parties to email the Clonmel office at clonmelcourtoffice@courts.ie confirming same and I will make the appropriate order without the need for the parties to attend at the motions/case progression list. Furthermore, where the parties have agreed to an adjournment, I will grant same without the need for the parties to attend at the motions list. PLEASE NOTE that the parties should send this email no later than close of business (5.00pm) on the Friday preceding the relevant Monday motion list as any emails subsequent to this deadline will not be opened.

Callovers
Please note that in line with the direction of the President of the Circuit Court, if the parties to a case in the callover have agreed terms in respect of same, then it is in order for the parties to email the Clonmel office at clonmelcourtoffice@courts.ie confirming same and I will make the appropriate order without the need for the parties to attend at the callover list.

Care Representative applications, marriage applications and certain ex parte applications
Finally all applications for the appointment of a care representative, or for a marriage exemption, should be lodged in the office and if the proofs are in order, I will make the appropriate order without the need for the parties to appear in court.

In relation to all other queries, including a request for a remote hearing of a taxation or for a remote hearing of a civil or family law case progression, please email me directly at jamesseymour@courts.ie or call me on 087 7082374

Kind regards

James Seymour
County Registrar for Tipperary & Kilkenny
